The Esquina Department is located in the southwest corner of the Corrientes Province in northeast Argentina and is one of the province's 25 administrative units .

In the north it borders on the Goya department , in the east on the departments Curuzú Cuatiá and Sauce , in the south on the province of Entre Ríos and in the west, separated by the Río Paraná , on the province of Santa Fe .

The capital of the Esquina department is the city of the same name, Esquina, on the Paraná River.
