The department of San Roque is located in the western center of the province of Corrientes in northeast Argentina and is one of 25 administrative units in the province.
In the north it is bordered by the Department of Saladas , in the east by the Department of Concepción , in the southeast by the Department of Mercedes , in the southwest by the Department of Lavalle and to the west by the Department of Bella Vista .
The capital of the department of San Roque is the eponymous San Roque .
