The department of San Miguel is located in the north of the province of Corrientes in northeast Argentina and is one of 25 administrative units in the province.
In the north, separated by the Río Paraná , it borders on Paraguay , in the east on the Department Ituzaingó , in the southwest on the Department Concepción and in the west on the General Paz .
The capital of the department of San Miguel is the eponymous San Miguel .
