The department of San Cosme is located in the north of the province of Corrientes in northeast Argentina and is one of the province's 25 administrative units .

In the north it borders, separated by the Río Paraná , on Paraguay , in the east on the Department Itatí , in the south on the Department San Luis del Palmar and in the west on the Department Capital .

The capital of the Department of San Cosme is the city of the same name, San Cosme .
