The 59th German Swimming Championships took place on August 3rd and 4th, 1947 in the Stadionbad in Frankfurt am Main . It was the first German swimming championship after the Second World War . Swimmers from the Soviet occupation zone also took part in the championship. Because of this, they were also considered the interzone championships . It was not until the reunification in 1990 that there was an all-German swimming championship again (since the German swimming championships in 1990 in Munich ).
