The 94th German Swimming Championships took place from June 29th to July 3rd, 1982 at the Swim Performance Center (SLZ) in Darmstadt . The title fights also served as a qualifying competition for the 1982 World Championships in Guayaquil . Michael Groß provided the sporting highlights of these championships with his European records over 100 meters and 200 meters butterfly.
