German Volleyball Bundesliga 1976/77 (women)

The 1976/77 season of the Volleyball Bundesliga was the first edition of this competition. The USC Munster was the second time German champions .

Teams

The following eight teams played in the first division in the founding season:

• Hamburger SV
• 1. VC Hanover
• Lüner SV
• USC Munster
• ESV Neuaubing
• 1. VC swords
• TV Wetzlar
• 1. VC Wiesbaden

The 1st VC Hannover started as defending champion. The USC Münster became the German champion. Hamburger SV and Lüner SV were relegated.
