The Develey Management GmbH is a food company in Unterhaching in Munich , the 1845 by Johann Conrad Develey was founded.
history
Johann Conrad Develey was born in Lindau in 1822 . He initially made medium-hot and hot mustard according to a French recipe, but invented sweet mustard in 1854 . In 1874 he was awarded the title of “ Royal Bavarian Court Supplier ”. In the 1970s the company was taken over by the Durach family - at that time mainly a sauerkraut producer.
In 1968 the company Develey took over the delicatessen specialist Specht (fine sour delicacies), in 1992 the mustard manufacturer " Bautz'ner Senf ", the market leader in the new federal states, and in 1995 the French mustard manufacturer Reine de Dijon, founded in 1840 . The Düsseldorfer Löwensenf GmbH has been a subsidiary of Develey since 2001. In addition, sauces are made to order for system catering .
In 2002 Develey bought the Austrian market leader for mustard, Mautner Markhof Feinkost , 100% mother of Born Feinkost , a Thuringian company.
The Develey Group has over 2000 employees and generates sales of over 500 million euros in its German locations: Unterhaching , Dingolfing , Bautzen , Pfarrkirchen , Parsdorf , Düsseldorf , Erfurt and Bad Langensalza . The company also has production facilities in France ( Dijon ), Russia (Kanash), Poland ( Warsaw ), Austria ( Vienna ), Slovakia ( Bratislava ), the Czech Republic ( Dobruska ) and Turkey ( Izmir ).
