Diisononyl adipate is an organic chemical compound that is mainly used as a plasticizer in PVC . Diisononyl adipate belongs to the group of adipates , i.e. to the esters of adipic acid .

properties

Diisononyl adipate has a viscosity of 17 to 21 mPa · s at 20 ° C.

use

Diisononyl adipate is used as a plasticizer for PVC, which means that it remains soft even at low temperatures. An advantage of diisononyl adipate is its miscibility with other common monomeric plasticizers. Further, it is as a plasticizer for acrylonitrile - butadiene - rubber ( NBR ), styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), and rubber chloroprene (CR) is used.
