Dirk Erchinger

Dirk Erchinger (* 1969 in Hanover ) is a German drummer , producer and entrepreneur .

Life

He was the drummer in the Jazzkantine for 16 years and has been the drummer of the Austrian band Count Basic since 1995 .

He studied drums in the pop course at the University of Music and Theater in Hamburg (1990) and at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles (1992–1993).

He played over 1500 concerts with Jazzkantine and can be heard on the band's albums with artists such as Xavier Naidoo , Nils Landgren , Pee Wee Ellis , Fred Wesley , Nils Wogram , Till Brönner and Smudo . He also worked with artists such as Gloria Gaynor , Kruder & Dorfmeister , WestBam , Inga Rumpf and the Hamburg Blues Band .

In 2008 he founded the Drumtrainer Berlin drum school and has been managing director ever since.

In 2017 he opened the online branch Drumtrainer.Online .

Dirk Erchinger has been teaching at the SRH University of Popular Arts I hdpk since 2010 .

In his sound and video studio in Berlin-Kreuzberg he produces a. a. Production music for Universal Publishing Production Music / UPPM, the Hamburg publishing house Klanglobby, as well as instructional videos for drum trainers. Online.

Dirk Erchinger is married for the second time and lives with his wife and four children in Berlin and Tyrol .
