Dirk S. Greis

Dirk Stefan Greis (* 1961 in Solingen ; also known as Dirk Greis ) is a German actor .

Life

After training at the New Munich Drama School , engagements at the Theater der Keller in Cologne , the Schleswig-Holstein State Theater in Schleswig , the Hessian State Theater in Wiesbaden , the Düsseldorfer Kammerspiele and the Krefeld City Theater followed . He embodied, among other things, the Béralde in Molière's The Imaginary Ill , Harold in a stage adaptation of the cult film Harold and Maude and the Prince of Guastalla in Lessing's Emilia Galotti .

Dirk S. Greis also worked in various film and television productions .

These included the feature films The Boy Without Characteristics from 2005 by Thomas Stiller with Dagmar Manzel , Peter Lohmeyer and Lisa Martinek and in 2011 A Dark Desire by David Cronenberg with Michael Fassbender , Keira Knightley and Viggo Mortensen . He was also seen as an actor in several episodes of Schimanski , Lindenstrasse and SOKO Cologne as well as the "Munich" Tatort . In 2013 he played the vocational school teacher alongside Miroslav Nemec and Udo Wachtveitl in the film Power and Powerlessness .
