Dirk Staudinger

Dirk Staudinger (born January 8, 1973 in Hamburg ) is a German consultant in the field of brands, trends and communication, art dealer and former hockey Bundesliga and national player.

Life

Dirk Staudinger was born in Hamburg. He has two sons. His companies Cc Consultancy and Circle Culture are located in Berlin and Hamburg. His companies have also been active in Los Angeles since 2015.

Athletic career

Between 1979 and 1998 Staudinger was active as a hockey player at the Grossflottbeker Tennis and Hockey Club and Harvestehuder Hockey Club . As a hockey Bundesliga and national player, he won several DM titles and took part in the following championships:

Professional background

Dirk Staudinger studied sports management at the IST study institute in Düsseldorf and business administration at the University of Hamburg. During his studies, he worked as a youth cultural consultant and trend scout for the English advertising agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty, the German agency Trendbüro, the international marketing agency Kantar Added Value (formerly The Added Value Company) and the British semiotic Greg Rowland.

From 1998 to 1999 he worked as an independent producer and presenter for MTV Germany . During this time he produced in collaboration with the cameraman Henrik Peschel u. a. the video K2 by Absolute Beginner feat. Samy Deluxe, Das Bo, Dendemann, Ferris Mc, Eins Zwo. In 2001, together with Johann Haehling von Lanzenauer and Oliver Litten, he founded the creative and strategic brand and communication consultancy Cc. The agency's customers include the sporting goods manufacturer Nike , Beiersdorf AG , the fashion groups H&M , Uniqlo and Chanel , the beverage and media group Red Bull , the furniture brand Ikea , the technology groups Apple and Microsoft , the lifestyle brand Converse , and the Lifesciene group Bayer as well as the automobile brand Mini , the media titles Gala and Grazia and the Unilever group , and cultural institutions such as Art Basel Miami Beach , the Helmut Newton Foundation and the Berlinische Galerie - Museum of Modern Art . Staudinger is also active as a speaker at conferences and seminars on the subject of marketing and innovation in communication .

Together with Haehling von Lanzenauer, he founded the culture and art platform Circle Culture in Berlin in 2001, which is dedicated to promoting and trading urban art. Since 2011, Circle Culture has been devoting itself to a broader spectrum of international fine arts and contemporary culture. From 2010 Staudinger established the company through pop-up exhibitions in Hamburg, where the second branch followed in 2012. Circle Culture provides u. a. the artists Stefan Strumbel , Katrin Fridriks, XOOOOX, Shepard Fairey , JR , Arno Rink , Ross Bleckner , Jonathan Yeo , Raymond Pettibon and Corita Kent .

Together with Johann Haehling von Lanzenauer and the American artist, curator and filmmaker Aaron Rose from Los Angeles, Staudinger is a founding partner of The Conversation, a nomadic cultural project for concepts from a wide variety of creative disciplines. La Rosa Social Club was established as an iconic project - a wandering artist bar that sees itself as a social sculpture and has so far been realized in Los Angeles, Berlin and Sydney.

Between 1995 and 2002 he was a. a. in Los Angeles, New York, London, Paris, Madrid and Milan as a protagonist for music videos, fashion productions, short films and commercials for fashion companies and industrial customers such as Calvin Klein , Levi's , Otto, Ferrero , Esso and media such as Fit for Fun , Stern , NDR2 , and ID Magazine . In 1995 he was also a catwalk model for the American fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger .
