The Florencia de Mora district is located in the Trujillo Province in the La Libertad region of western Peru . The district was established on September 23, 1985. The 1.99 km² district had 37,262 inhabitants at the 2017 census. In 1993 the population was 35,806, in 2007 40,014. The district is congruent with the 85  m high northern suburb of the regional capital Trujillo Florencia de Mora .

Geographical location

The Florencia de Mora district is located in the coastal plain of northwestern Peru. It borders in the south on the Trujillo district , in the west on the La Esperanza district and in the north and east on the El Porvenir district .
