The district of San Isidro de Maino is one of 21 districts in the province of Chachapoyas in the Amazonas region of northern Peru . It has an area of ​​101.67 km². At the 2017 census, 580 people lived in the district. In 1993 the population was 762, in 2007 686. The administrative seat is the village of Maino . The Maino Village Festival takes place from June 7th to August 30th.

Geographical location

The district of San Isidro de Maino is located in a valley that slowly flattens out towards the River Utcubamba .

In the north and west, the district of San Isidro de Maino borders on the district of Levanto , in the east on the district of Soloco and the district of Cochamal and in the south on the district of Magdalena .
