The district of San Ramón is located in the province of Chanchamayo in the administrative region of Junín in central Peru . The district of San Ramón has an area of 591.67 km². The 2017 census counted 25,800 inhabitants. In 1993 the population was 21,968, in 2007 it was 26,088. The administrative seat is the city of San Ramón .
Geographical location
The district of San Ramón is located in the Peruvian Central Cordillera . It is traversed by the Río Tarma and Río Tulumayo . These unite at the city of San Ramón to the Río Chanchamayo . The longitudinal extent in WNW-ESE direction is about 62 km, the width is 10 km.
The district of San Ramón borders in the north on the district Chanchamayo , in the southeast on the district Vitoc and in the south and west on the province Tarma .
