Doris Morgado (born July 17, 1981 in Caracas ) is a Venezuelan actress .

life and career

Doris Morgado was born in the Venezuelan capital Caracas to Cuban parents. At the age of five, she and her parents moved to Miami , Florida, where she attended Hialeah Senior High School . During her school days she was very active in sports, for example she played basketball and did karate . After high school, she took a bachelor's degree in elementary school teaching at Florida International University , but later devoted herself to acting and moved to Los Angeles , where she trained at the Stan Kirsch Studio and the Warner Loughlin Studio .

Morgado first appeared in front of the camera in 2007 after starring in the short film Switch . Further appearances in short films followed, and she soon appeared in supporting roles in feature films, including Dirty Martini and Paper Boys . This was soon followed by roles in bigger films, such as Words to Kill , Everything Allowed - A Week Without Rules , Think Like a Man , Snitch - A Risky Deal , Prakti.com , 2 Guns or Acts of God . However, she gained greater fame especially in the role of Maria in the 2017 film Logan - The Wolverine .

In addition to her film appearances, Morgado can also be seen regularly in television series, including Army Wives , Teen Wolf , Navy CIS , For Better or Worse , The Red Road , Jane the Virgin , Navy CIS: New Orleans , Chicago Med and Criminal Minds . So far she has appeared in over 70 film and television productions.
