Doubrava ( German green ) is a district of the city of Aš in the Czech Republic .
geography
Doubrava is located two kilometers south of Bad Elster on the border with Germany in the Okres Cheb . The location is on the left bank of the White Elster in the Elster Mountains . To the north rises the Wolfsberg (596 m), in the northeast the Reuther Höhe (602 m), east the Strážný (628 m) and the Plattenberg (683 m), in the south the Vyhlídka (678 m), southwest the Háj (757 m) ) and to the west of Kopaninský vrch (645 m).
Neighboring towns are Bad Elster in the north, Reuth, Sohl and Schwarzenbrunn in the north-east, Raun in the east, Dolní Paseky in the south, Aš, Marak and Krásná in the south-west, Kopaniny in the west and Studánka and Kessel in the north-west.
history
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1395 as "Grunne bey Neitperg". A little later it passed from the von Neuberg family to the Zedtwitz family .
During the Habsburg monarchy, the community belonged to the judicial district of Asch or district of Asch .
After the Munich Agreement , Doubrava was added to the German Empire and belonged to the Asch district until 1945 .
