Location of Dreck in Bergisch Gladbach

Dreck was a district in the Paffrath district of the city of Bergisch Gladbach in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis . From 1895 it is no longer listed in the parish lexica. The street name Drecker Wiese is reminiscent of the village.

Location and description

Dirt lay in the area around today's Paffrather Strasse and Dellbrücker Strasse, which were created in their current form after the Second World War. The original development no longer exists.

history

Dreck (ma. E m Dreck ) was an old farm in Paffrath and has been known since 1666. Under French administration between 1806 and 1813 the Porz office was dissolved and Dreck was politically assigned to Mairie Gladbach in the canton of Bensberg . In 1816 the Prussians converted the Mairie to the mayor's office in Gladbach in the Mülheim am Rhein district . With the Rhenish City Code , Gladbach became a city in 1856, which was then given the addition of Bergisch in 1863 .

The location is recorded on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 and on the Prussian first survey of 1840 without a name, as well as on the Prussian new survey of 1892 and on measuring table sheets .
