The Dreischusterhütte ( Italian Rifugio Tre Scarperi ) is a refuge of the Three Peaks section of the Alpine Association of South Tyrol in the Sesto Dolomites ( South Tyrol , Italy ). It is located at an altitude of 1635 m in the Innerfeldtal , which is part of the Drei Zinnen nature park .
history
The first simple wooden hut was built between 1911 and 1913 before the First World War. This hut was completely destroyed by fire in 1923. A year later, the first stone building with utility rooms and bedrooms was erected. After several changes of ownership, the hut passed into the possession of the "Ente per le Tre Venezie" in 1934, who used the house as a holiday home. In 1973 the Alpenverein Südtirol acquired the house, had the poorly built house demolished and built the new hut a little further up, which was opened in 1975.
Entrances and transitions
The easiest access is via the driveway in Innerfeldtal, where there are several parking spaces. A parking lot for hikers is about two kilometers below the hut. The access to this is limited in time. The car park is approached by bus from Innichen . A hiking trail runs parallel to the road. The hut can be reached from the valley town of Sexten via the Gsell Valley, Aussergsell and Steinalpe. Access from San Candido is via the Innicher Alm ( 1703 m ), optionally starting from the mountain station of the chairlift near the Haunoldhütte . The nearest accessible hut in the Drei Zinnen nature park is the Dreizinnenhütte ( 2405 m ).
Mountaineering
The hut can serve as a starting point for a tour to the Dreischusterspitze ( 3145 m ). The normal route with difficulty III (UIAA) is a long and technically demanding climbing tour . It leads from the Dreischusterhütte through the northwestern Steinalpkar to the Steinalpscharte and then through the eastern flank. Near the hut, the via ferrata branches off from the Innerfeld valley through the Kohlenbrenn valley to the four-tower ridge of the Haunold group . The main summit ( 2966 m ) with a summit cross can be reached here. The ascent is mainly on unmarked paths. With a further ascent in the Innerfeldtal , branching into the Hangenalpeltal via the Lückele-Scharte ( 2545 m ), the peaks of the Hochebenkofel ( 2905 m ) and the Birkenkofel ( 2922 m ), which are close together , can be reached. At a branch in the Innichbacherngraben you can climb to the Schusterplatte ( 2957 m ). On the transition to the Dreizinnenhütte, the via ferratas to the Toblinger knot or to the Paternkofel can be worthwhile destinations.
