The East Highland Way ( Scottish Gaelic : Slighe Gaidhealtachd an Ear) is a 132 km long long distance hiking trail in Scotland that connects the towns of Fort William and Aviemore .

description

The EHW was developed in 2007 by Kevin Langan and owes its name to the fact that the route ends in Aviemore on the edge of the Scottish Highlands . The path leads through a varied and wild landscape, through deep forest plantations, past many lochs and overcomes untouched marshland. It connects the West Highland Way and the Great Glen Way in Fort William and the Speyside Way in Aviemore.
