Eck (Berchtesgaden)

Eck is the smallest of the five districts of the Berchtesgaden market . In contrast to the other districts, Eck is not a former municipality, but rather six parts of the area of ​​very different sizes, which originally belonged to the municipality-free Eck area and, with the exception of the Kehlsteinhaus, are now enclosed by its area as an exclave of Berchtesgaden. These non-contiguous parts of the Eck district of the Berchtesgaden market have a total area of ​​only 17.238 hectares or 172.380 m².

Location and structure

The Kehlstein with the Kehlsteinhaus as well as the following five Berchtesgadener exclaves belong to the district area :

  • Schifferer Hütte - storage shed with apartment as well as an adjoining parcel in the Eckerwald west of Roßfeldhöhenringstrasse
  • Berlerkaser car park , opposite the Schifferer Hütte - in the Eckerwald east of the Roßfeldhöhenringstrasse, 450 meters west and 80 meters below the Perler-Kaser, which was set up in 1982 at the Untere Ahornalm
  • Berggasthof Ahornkaser (formerly Renn-Kaser ), - a building with a restaurant and apartment on the Upper Ahornalm below the Ahornbüchsenkopf . The Ahornkaser is the highest mountain inn in Germany that can be reached by car at over 1520  m above sea level. NN .
  • Purtschellerhaus - on the Austrian border

According to the street directory of the population and occupational census of May 25, 1987, the street names Purtschellerstraße and Hintereck are assigned to the Berchtesgaden district of Obersalzberg , while Am Roßfeld is assigned to the district of Oberau . In addition to the house numbers listed in the table, Purtschellerstraße and Hintereck also have other house numbers outside the Eck district. On the other hand, Am Roßfeld 15 is the only house number of the corresponding street name.
