Metzenleiten

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Metzenleiten has been part of the Berchtesgaden market in the Berchtesgadener Land district in Upper Bavaria since January 1, 1972 .

history

Presumably as early as the end of the 14th century, Metzenleiten was the 2nd Gnotschaft district of the "Ur gnotschaft " Berg in the Berchtesgadener Land , which from 1380 formed the heartland of the Reich Prelature Berchtesgaden and the later independent, imperial provostry Berchtesgaden (1559-1803). After three quick succession following rule changes in 1810 that were Berchtesgaden with its Gnotschaften the Kingdom of Bavaria affiliated and mountain from 1812 to community Salzberg . From 1817 to 1818 Metzenleiten came to the municipality of Gern for one year , and then again until December 31, 1971, to be part of the municipality of Salzberg. Only in the course of the regional reform in Bavaria did the municipality of Salzberg lose its independence on January 1, 1972 and has since then been part of the Berchtesgaden market along with its districts and gnotships, including Metzenleiten.

Between 1929 and 1932, Franz Brandner built the small church Maria am Berg on a slope of Kiliansberg in Metzenleiten, not far from the Seimler youth hostel, which opened in 1921, at his own expense and with the help of relatives . Location . ! 547.6436735513.0202695

Single settlements

According to the statistical overview of 1698, the Gnotschaft Metzenleiten consisted of eleven properties, ten of which were entire farms and half a farm, which were listed with their house names . Half the farm was Hornkendl . The Gnotschafter set up for the Gnotschafterbekreis was the farmer of Frey . The repertory of the topographical atlas sheet from 1841 still lists the same 11 wastelands , with a total of 12 houses, e.g. T. with name variants. Only the desert Seidenbühl (Seidenbichllehen) was run with two houses. The 11 names are recorded on the frame maps ( land maps of the first recording, in this area all from 1817). On the current topographical map, on the other hand, three names, Hornhörnl , Ochsenhütten and Votzenbauer, are no longer to be found, and no properties (buildings) are drawn in the same places, nor are they visible on the orthophoto or covered by forest. Only one service hut of the Bavarian State Forests called Ochshütte is shown, not in the same place, but nearby: 190 meters east of the historic Ochsenhütte, and only 60 meters northwest of the Hornhörnl (Hornkendl), near Lage . ! 547.6558405513.0283705

The Ochsenhütte and the Hornkendllehen were two small properties on the east side of the Kneifelspitze , which were abandoned in the middle of the 19th century due to lack of water, the Ochshütte (sic!) According to the memorial stone (on it Ochshüttn ) in 1862. The agricultural areas of these properties were afforested and are now managed by the Bavarian State Forests.

These wastelands, from which the Gnotships of the historical prince-provost of Berchtesgaden consist or existed, were not listed as separate localities or parts of the municipality in the official lists of towns and places of Bavaria published since 1877, in contrast to the wastelands of all other parts of Bavaria, but were there only the Gnotships were managed as a quasi-consolidated locality or parish.
