Hinte Rettenberg is a part of since 1969 market Marktschellenberg in Upper Bavarian district of Berchtesgaden .

history

Probably as early as the end of the 14th century, Hinterettenberg was the 2nd Gnotschaft district of the "Ur gnotschaft " Ettenberg in the Berchtesgadener Land , which from 1380 formed the heartland of the Reich Prelature Berchtesgaden and the later independent, imperial prince Berchtesgaden (1559-1803). After three changes of rulership in quick succession, in 1810 the Berchtesgadener Land with its Gnotships was annexed to the Kingdom of Bavaria . In the parish registers from 1817 Ettenberg was listed as a parish and the Gnotschafts districts Vorderettenberg and Hinterettenberg became Gnotschafts or districts. On March 1, 1911, Ettenberg and his two Gnotships were incorporated into the Landschellenberg community . Even before the general regional reform in Bavaria , on October 1, 1969, Marktschellenberg , the former second capital of the Berchtesgadener Land, as well as Landschellenberg and Scheffau were merged to form the new municipality of Marktschellenberg . Since then, Hinterettenberg has been a district or a Gnotschaft of the Marktschellenberg market.
