Oberschönau (Schönau am Koenigssee)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Oberschönau has been part of the municipality of Schönau am Königssee in the Upper Bavarian district of Berchtesgadener Land since 1978 .

history

Probably as early as the end of the 14th century Oberschönau I and Oberschönau II were the 2nd and 6th Gnotschafterbe district of the "Ur gnotschaft " Schönau in the Berchtesgadener Land , which from 1380 became the heartland of the Reich Prelature Berchtesgaden and the later independent, imperial provostry Berchtesgaden (1559 -1803). After three changes of rulership in quick succession, in 1810 the Berchtesgadener Land and its Gnotships became part of the Kingdom of Bavaria, and Schönau became a municipality from 1817 . In 1978, as part of the regional reform in Bavaria, the municipalities of Schönau and Königssee were amalgamated into the unitary municipality of Schönau am Königssee , the size of which roughly corresponds to the former original message. Since then, Oberschönau I and Oberschönau II have been districts or gnotships of Schönau am Königssee.
