Ed Flanders

Edward Paul Flanders (born December 29, 1934 in Minneapolis , Minnesota , † February 22, 1995 in Denny , California ) was an American actor .

Life

After training to be an actor, Flanders first found work as a stage actor. In the sixties and seventies he played for a long time on New York's Broadway . Eventually Hollywood noticed him too. Flanders starred alongside Robert DeNiro in the crime thriller Dangerous Confession , in the Stephen King film adaptation Brennen muss Salem / Schrecken im Marstenhaus , in the comedy Bye Bye, Love and in the third part of the horror film series Der Exorcist .

Flanders has been cast in roles as US President several times, for example in the television series White House, Back Entrance , in which he played Calvin Coolidge , and he played Harry S. From 1963 to 1968 Flanders was married to actress Ellen Geer .
