Athletic career

Eduard Worganow won the one-day race Memorial Oleg Dyachenko in 2004 , as well as a stage and the overall classification at the Circuit des Ardennes . From 2005 he drove for the Russian team Omnibike Dynamo Moscow , where he won the overall ranking of the Five Rings of Moscow . Since 2007 Worganow has been driving for the Spanish Professional Continental Team Karpin Galicia , where he finished second at the Clásica de Almería and took part in the Vuelta a España in his first season . On January 16, 2016, Worganow tested positive for the cardiovascular drug Meldonium , which has been on the list of prohibited drugs since January 1, 2016. It is currently being marketed in the Baltic states and Russia; in Germany, for example, it is not approved. He was suspended from his Katusha team with immediate effect. However, since it is the second doping case in the team within twelve months (after Luca Paolini ), according to the World Cycling Association Union Cycliste Internationale, he faces a collective punishment.
