Elfriede Irrall

Elfriede Irrall (born February 18, 1938 in Vienna ; † February 26, 2018 there ) was an Austrian actress .

Life

She completed her training from 1952 to 1955 at the Krauss drama school in Vienna. In 1982 she founded the “Theaterspielwerk” with Olaf Scheuring. Her main engagements were the Theater in der Josefstadt , Wiener Volkstheater (1960 Lulu by Frank Wedekind , director: Gustav Manker ), Renaissance Theater , Freie Volksbühne and Peter Stein's Schaubühne in Berlin. There are also numerous film, television and radio works, such as in one of the famous Paul Temple radio plays in 1959 , namely in Paul Temple and the Spencer case directed by Eduard Hermann and radio stories for little people of the RBB . In addition, she completed teaching activities in acting training in Berlin and Vienna.

In 1999, the artist got involved in a project in the Paul Schneider House in Berlin to enable young people to take a theater course.

Elfriede Irrall lived in Lutzmannsburg in Burgenland and in Vienna. After her marriage to Walter Kohut , the director , dramaturge and actor Olaf Scheuring was her partner until his death in 2009. Irrall died in Vienna a few days after her 80th birthday.
