Elitserien (chess) 1988/89

The 1988/89 season was the second season of the Elitserien . The defending champion Wasa SK and SK Rockaden Stockholm fought a duel for the title, which Wasa SK won in a direct comparison by winning. From the Division I were Södra SASS and Lunds ASK ascended. Both climbers achieved relegation, while the Schacksällskapet Manhem and Limhamns SK had to relegate.

The competitions took place on October 9 and 30, November 20, December 11, 1988, January 15, February 5 and February 26, 1989.
