Elitserien (chess) 2012/13
The 2012/13 season remained exciting until the last round. While SK Team Viking had dominated the league with 18: 0 points last year , this time the gap between first and fourth place was only two team points, and before the last round, Lunds ASK , Limhamns SK and defending champion SK had Team Viking still has three teams title chances. The new Swedish champion was Limhamns SK, who won the final round and benefited from the fact that the previously leading Lunds ASK was defeated by the defending champions.
Burgsvik Alva SK and Örgryte SK were promoted from the Superettan . Both promoted teams managed to stay up, but had to relegate with the Schacksällskapet Manhem and the SK Rockaden Umeå, two clubs that had landed in the secured midfield in the previous year. Game dates
The competitions took place on October 5, 6 and 7, 2012, December 1, 2012, February 1, 2, 3 and 23, 2013 and on March 15, 16 and 17, 2013. The last three Rounds were organized centrally in Västerås .

Note : SK Team Viking had won the competition against Västerås SK 6-2, but since they used three foreigners (a maximum of two are allowed), the games on boards 4 to 8 were counted as won for Västerås, so that the Competition 5½: 2½ for Västerås.
