Elitserien (chess) 2000/01
In the 2000/01 season , the defending champion Sollentuna SK and SK Rockaden Stockholm delivered a duel for the title. Only in the last round was the decision in favor of SK Rockaden Stockholm in direct comparison.
In the previous year, Kirsebergs SK , SK Kamraterna and Västerås ÖSK / SA were promoted . From a purely sporting point of view, Kirseberg would have been able to stay in the league, while SK Kamraterna and Västerås relegated directly with Schacksällskapet Luleå . However, since the Kirsebergs SK did not meet his financial obligations, he was excluded from the Elitserien, and SK Kamraterna reached relegation as tenth in the final table. For the reported team squads of the participating clubs see team squad of the Elitserien (chess) 2000/01 .
