Elitserien (chess) 2001/02
In the 2001/02 season is delivered Sollentuna SK and Limhamns SK a duel for the title. The direct comparison ended in a draw, both teams gave another draw, so the board points decided in favor of Sollentuna. The defending champion SK Rockaden Stockholm had to be content with third place.
Last year Södra SASS , Schacksällskapet Manhem and Eskilstuna SK were promoted . While Södra SASS and Manhem achieved relegation, Eskilstuna together with Schack 08 and SK Kamraterna had to relegate directly. Events
The competitions took place on October 12th, 13th and 14th, November 10th, December 1st, 2001, January 19th, February 9th and March 2nd, 15th, 16th and 17th, 2002. The first three rounds were held centrally in Norrköping , the last three in Stockholm , while the remaining competitions were played decentrally at the clubs involved.
