Elitserien (chess) 2008/09
The 2008-09 season saw a head-to-head race at the top. In the end, SK Rockaden Stockholm was able to defend its title two points ahead of Limhamns SK and Sollentuna SK .
In the previous year Farsta SK and Örgryte SK were promoted from the Superettan . While Farsta SK achieved relegation, Örgryte SK had to relegate directly together with Solna Schacksällskap . Furthermore, the Skara Schacksällskap withdrew from the Elitserien, so that there was an additional climber from the Superettan. Game dates
The competitions took place on October 25 and 26, 2008, November 15 and 16, 2008, December 5, 6 and 7, 2008, January 17, 2009, February 7 and 28, 2009 and on November 1, 13, 2008 ., March 14th and 15th, 2009. The third to fifth rounds were played centrally in Skara , the last three rounds were played centrally in Täby , the other competitions were held locally at the participating clubs.
