He is married and has three children from a previous marriage. His 22-year-old son was shot dead in his home on April 29, 2009.

Career

Before he turned to wrestling, Skipper was a kickboxer . With his decision to become a wrestler, he quit his job as a shoe seller in Ambala City and moved to Atlanta , where he trained at WCW Power Plant , the WCW 's wrestling school .

World Championship Wrestling (2000-2001)

After he was accepted by the Power Plant, he began his training and first debuted in an independent promotion in 1999 . After eight months of training, he made his first TV appearance on Saturday Night . Seven months later he was active under the name Skip Over for Thunder and Nitro in the Cruiserweight Division and against colleagues from the Power Plant.

Since August 2000, Skipper has been performing under his real name and adding " Primetime ". After intervening in Storm's favor on August 14, 2000 in a match between Lance Storm and Mike Awesome , Skipper was introduced as Storm's new tag team partner in the newly formed Team Canada , where Storm gave him the cruiserweight title (Storm named him "100 kilo and under" title; German: 100 kilos and under) handed over. Contrary to his US nationality and his lack of knowledge of Canada, he was passed off as a Canadian and former player of the Canadian Football League , with a Gray Cup ring. On October 2, 2000 , Skipper lost his title to Mike Sanders ; then the title was renamed back to "Cruiserweight" title. For the rest of 2000 , Team Canada feuded against the Misfits In Action and Filthy Animals .

In early 2001, Skipper left Team Canada and competed exclusively in the Cruiserweight Division. During February and March he teamed up with Kid Romeo to determine the first carriers of the newly introduced WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team title through a competition among eight teams . Skipper and Romeo won the title by defeating Billy Kidman and Rey Mysterio, Jr. in the final of Greed , the last pay-per-view WCW, on March 18, 2001. On March 26, they lost the belt in Nitro at Kidman and Mysterio.

Later in 2001 the WCW was sold to the World Wrestling Federation along with a number of wrestlers, including Skipper .

World Wrestling Federation (2001)

Elix Skipper made his debut in the WWF in the early phase of the "Invasion" storyline as a member of the "Alliance" . The WWF later sent him to the Heartland Wrestling Association , one of their developing leagues. He trained there for nine months before being released in December 2001.

All Japan Pro Wrestling (2002)

Since he was fired from WWF, Skipper contacted The Great Muta , a Japanese wrestler who had previously invited him to compete in Japan. Skipper immediately traveled to Japan, where he entered the ring under his real name, as Dark Guerrera and as a masked Extreme Blade for All Japan Pro Wrestling .

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (2002-2008)

When it was founded, Skipper joined the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling promotion in June 2002 . There he wrestled in the X division , but also competed in Japan. Since December 18, 2002 he formed the formation Triple X with Low Ki and Christopher Daniels . That same evening they went Sports Entertainment Xtreme , a heel grouping under Vince Russo at.

During the first half of 2003, Triple X feuded America's Most Wanted ( Chris Harris and James Storm ), winning the NWA World Tag Team Championship three times . During their title reign they were allowed to defend their belts in any combination, similar to the Fabulous Freebirds . Triple X broke up in mid-2003 when Low Ki left TNA to go to Japan. On June 25, 2003, America's Most Wanted defeated their opponents Skipper and Daniels in TNA's first cage match , ending the feud.

Skipper left TNA in July 2003 after a dispute over the amount of his fee and returned to Japan until December 2003 when TNA offered him a new, more lucrative contract. After returning to TNA, Skipper took part in the America's X Cup Tournament and as a member of Team USA in the World X Cup Tournament . Team USA won the World X Cup, but lost the America's X Cup final against Team Mexico .

Skipper in 2005

In July 2004, Skipper and Daniels reformed Triple X and began another feud with America's Most Wanted. In the course of this feud, Skipper and Chris Harris had to compete together against the NWA World Tag Team Champions The Naturals , as their respective partners were not available. Despite allegedly trying to work together, they defeated the Naturals. Skipper and Harris held the titles for several weeks before handing them over to Christopher Daniels and James Storm. After Daniels and Storm lost their belts to Team Canada , the feud between Triple X and America's Most Wanted resumed. America's Most Wanted defeated Triple X in a Last Team Standing match on November 7, 2004 at Victory Road , with Skipper suffering a concussion. The feud culminated in a cage match at Turning Point on December 5, 2004, which had the requirement that the losing team must leave the promotion. America's Most Wanted won this match. During this match, Skipper showed his finisher , the New School (a Rope Walk Frankensteiner ) from the top of the cage to Harris.

Then a feud program started between Skipper and Daniels, which ended with Skipper's defeat in the match against Daniels for the TNA X Division Championship at Lockdown on April 24, 2005. Skipper remained in the X Division until he was allowed to join Pat Kenney's Diamonds in the Rough grouping in August 2005 , where he tagged with David Young . In December 2005, the Diamonds in the Rough got into a war of words with the Major League Baseball - Catcher A.J. Pierzynski . This reciprocated the Diamonds in the Rough by costing them victory in a six-man tag team match at Turning Point on December 11, 2005 .

The grouping was part of the TNA Tag Team division for 2006, but received few high profile matches. In February 2007, Skipper and Young left TNA after they both asked to be released.

On July 15, Skipper returned to TNA for an Ultimate X match at Victory Road and re-formed Triple X with Daniels and Senshi (the former Low Ki).

After Christopher Daniels was fired, according to the storyline , because his suitcase contained a pink envelope from a so-called " Feast or Fired " match, Skipper formed a team with Senshi. Senshi requested his release in January, which was granted. After that, Skipper rarely appeared at TNA, mostly as a jobber in individual matches. He played his last televised match for TNA in April 2008. He was released from his contract in May.
