Brandon Silvestry (born September 6, 1979 in Brooklyn , New York ), better known by his ring name Low Ki , is an American wrestler . He currently appears regularly at various independent promotions .

His ring name "Low Ki", whose original spelling is Low-Key, comes from the lyrics of the song No Diggity by BLACKstreet .

Career

Beginnings

Silvestry was trained by Jim Kettner and Homicide . On October 10, 1998, he made his debut as Low Ki with Jersey All Pro Wrestling . On October 2, 1999 , he won his first title, the FWA Heavyweight Championship .

From 2000 to 2002 Silvestry played several matches at the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE).

TNA and RAW

In June 2002 he made his debut with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and was used here in the X-Division . He was allowed to win the title of the same name in this class in August, but had to give it up again after two weeks. He later formed the Stable Triple X with Christopher Daniels and Elix Skipper , which later that year became a member of Sports Entertainment Xtreme. Low Ki was allowed to win the NWA World Tag Team Championship once with Daniels and Skipper . After the team fell out within the storyline and turned against each other, Low Ki was kicked out. In July 2003 he left TNA because he wanted to recover from a back injury and wanted to concentrate on his simultaneous engagement with the Ring of Honor .

Low Ki made his debut in July 2002 with Ring of Honor, in their first show "The Era of Honor Begins", in which he was able to achieve a victory. On July 27, 2002, at the PPV “Crowning a Champion”, Low-Ki was made the first Ring Of Honor Champion after defeating Christopher Daniels , Spanky and Doug Williams in a Four Way Ironman match. In "Unscripted" on September 21, 2002, he had to lose his title to Xavier . Low Ki dropped out of his PhD in 2004 because of the famous Feinstein incident in which then league owner Rob Feinstein became involved in a sex scandal.

Returned in the same year (2004) Low Ki to ROH back and he was made a member of the Heel - Stables "The Rottweiler", which already from Homicide was and "The Havana Pitbulls" (Ricky Reyes and Rocky Romero). He began a feud with Bryan Danielson in November and was later suspended indefinitely due to an attack against the referee. In 2005 he returned and was booked into a feud against Jay Lethal , in which Homicide on Low Ki's side and Samoa Joe for Danielson were briefly involved. In January 2006 he left ROH again and was subsequently banned from appearing at ROH for life by Jim Cornette .

TNA II and Japan

At the PPV "TNA Lockdown" 2006 he returned as a mysterious tag team partner of Christopher Daniels under the name Senshi (Japanese warrior ). After a few weeks away from the TV screens, he began to be used in the X-Division, as he did in his first stint. He made his Impact debut in May 2006, beating Jay Lethal, Alex Shelley and Shark Boy in a Four Way match. After he secured the status of the No. 1 challenger on the TNA X Division Championship in a successful match at "Slammiversary" , he was able to win the title in June. After initially several title defenses, he lost the title 3 months later to Chris Sabin .

After a feud against Austin Starr , Victory Road saw the reformation of the Triple X in the summer of 2007 with the old cast of Senshi, Christopher Daniels and Elix Skipper. In January 2008, he was released from TNA. In the same month Silvestry won the PWG World Championship again as Low Ki , which he had to give up a little later due to an injury. On September 21, 2008 Silvestry was at New Japan Pro Wrestling IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion when he was able to defeat the previous title holder Tiger Mask and had to give him up at Wrestle Kingdom III on January 4, 2009 to Mistico.

World Wrestling Entertainment

After Silvestry played a dark match on November 7, 2008 as part of SmackDown , he subsequently signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment . First, however, he entered the FCW , the development league of the WWE, under the name Kaval .

On June 1, 2010, it was announced that Kaval would be participating in the second season of WWE NXT . He was looked after by the Lay-Cool team ( Layla and Michelle McCool ). Ultimately, he got to win this season and became an official WWE Superstar. He was assigned to the TV format WWE SmackDown . However, he was released on December 23, 2010.

Return to the Independents and Japan

After his release, Low-Ki returns to the independent leagues. On May 3, 2012 he was able to a. Defeat Prince Devitt at New Japan to become IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion for a second time.
