Emiel Faingnaert (born March 10, 1919 in Sint-Martens-Lierde , † May 10, 1980 in Gent) was a Belgian racing cyclist .

He was a professional driver from 1940 to 1950. In 1943 he won Antwerp – Gent – ​​Antwerp . His greatest success came in 1947 when he won the Tour of Flanders . In the same year he came in second place behind Albert Sercu at the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad . He was able to win a total of 27 bike races.

A memorial was erected for him in his hometown, and in 2007 the exhibition Emiel Faingnaert en zijn tijd was shown there.
