Emilio Sakraya Moutaoukkil (born June 29, 1996 in Berlin ) is a German actor and singer .

Life

Sakraya, whose mother comes from Morocco and father from Serbia, was born in Berlin in 1996 and grew up there. His parents live separately and he has several half-siblings. In his childhood he spent the summer with his family in Morocco. Emilio Sakraya attended the Annie Heuser Waldorf School in Wilmersdorf . He has been in front of the camera for film productions since he was nine. He made his first appearance in 2005 in the advertising film Children tell . He also discovered his enthusiasm for karate and kung-fu in childhood . In 2010 he won a German karate championship in the version of the World Karate and Kickboxing Association (WKA).

According to his own statement, he started playing instruments at the age of eleven, played the piano, guitar and drums and joined a school band at an early age. At the age of 15 or 16 he began to write his own songs.

In 2010 he made his first cinema appearance in the movie times change you, produced by Bernd Eichinger . This was followed by other cinema and television appearances, including in V8 - You want to be the best , in the middle of Germany: NSU and the crime film The Seventh Hour with Jan Josef Liefers and Stefanie Stappenbeck . As Tarik Schmüll, he has appeared in three films in the Bibi & Tina series since 2014 .

In May 2016 he produced his debut single Down by the Lake with Universal Music Germany . He plays keyboard, piano and guitar. In December 2016 he was in the RTL production Winnetou - The Mythos Lives as Neke Bah. At the end of 2016, he decided not to use his previous surname Moutaoukkil in public anymore and instead to use his middle name as his artist name.

In January 2017 he played a leading role in the Saarland Tatort Sons and Fathers . In May 2017 he was seen at the side of Frederick Lau and Kida Ramadan in the TNT series 4 blocks . Also in spring 2017 he shot the German horror film Heilstätten and the film Rock My Heart , both of which were released in cinemas. Until the beginning of June 2017, he was in front of the camera for the film My Devilishly Good Friend , which opened in German cinemas on June 28, 2018.

At the beginning of 2018, Emilio Sakraya took on the leading role in the movie Cold Feet, directed by Wolfgang Groos . Heiner Lauterbach and Sonja Gerhardt can be seen at his side . In the summer of 2018 he stood in front of the camera for the NDR crime scene The Disappeared Child in Göttingen . He was nominated for the Studio Hamburg Young Talent Award for his performance .

In 2019 Emilio Sakraya stood in front of the camera with Alba Baptista as JC for the new international Netflix drama series Warrior Nun , created by Simon Barry ( Ghost Wars , Continuum ).
