coat of arms
The Anrieder municipal coat of arms symbolizes the close bond that the two sexes Schmucker and Fugger had entered into through their many years of rule in the municipality. The rafters with three six-pointed stars, in the Fugger colors of blue and gold, come from the coat of arms of the Schmucker.
The State Ministry of the Interior gave its approval for the municipal coat of arms on March 22, 1964.
history
Beginnings
Anried was probably created as a clearing settlement in the 11th or 12th century.
Place name
The place name "Annenried" is mentioned for the first time in the 13th century and, according to today's knowledge, is derived from the Ried des Ano, where Ano is a personal name and Ried means swamp area.
Early rule
In Anried there were once episcopal Augsburg and margravial Burgau fiefdoms , the property as well as the rulership rights were distributed among different owners. Around 1400 a large part of Anried and Engertshofen came to the Schmucker family from Augsburg. The Schmucker family sold the entire property to the Fuggers in 1544. The estates were assigned to the Mickhausen rulership, but passed together with Ettelried in 1724 to the Fugger Family Foundation, which merged the estate into the Ettelried and Anried rulership .
In 1757 the rule of Ettelried and Anried was sold to Markus von Schnurbein. Before the transition to Bavaria, the manorial power in Anried belonged to the barons of Schnurbein, the Augsburg bishopric and the Augsburg cathedral monastery . The remains of the Rauhenberg castle stable can still be found in the Anrieder Flur.
From 1862 to 1929 Anried belonged to the district office of Zusmarshausen and from 1929 to the district office of Augsburg , which from 1939 was called the district of Augsburg .
Population development
According to the fireplace directory from 1492, Anried had 14 hearths.
Anried first appeared on a map around 1750. This was drawn by Johann Lambert Kolleffel . There it is noted that Anried and the hamlet “Engelshoffen” consisted of 36 fire towns.
In the lexicon of Swabia from 1791 it says: Anried, small village of 174 souls.
According to the report by Pastor Anton Feichtenbeiner von Ettelried from 1818, Anried had 1 church, 36 houses and 175 souls at that time. These were distributed over 8 farms, 24 Sölden and 3 sanctuaries. In terms of livestock, 30 horses, 85 cattle, 87 sheep, 38 pigs and 4 goats were counted. At that time Engertshofen had 7 houses: 3 farms and 4 Sölden with a total of 45 souls.
Incorporation
On July 1, 1972, Anried was incorporated into Dinkelscherben.
St. Felizitas Church
church
The Anried clearing settlement founded in the 11th century had a church as early as the Middle Ages. This church, of which only the late Gothic tower remains, was consecrated again in 1493. In 1712 the tower was given a new pointed roof and in 1829 this “building” is said to be “more like a chapel than a church”. The church was demolished and replaced by the current building in 1843. The greater part of the former furnishings (altars and pulpit) came from around 1880.
During the last renovation in 1990, the parish church was renovated inside and out. The tower, which today houses over 100 bats and a pair of falcons, was given a completely new pointed roof.
Carved figure of St. Felizitas
The significant carved figure from the Ulm School of Carving Art of Saint Felizitas and seven sons, from 1505, comes from this depiction of the saints much grace and strength for generations of those who would like to meet. Otherwise, the figure can be seen all year round as the centerpiece in the St. Afra diocesan museum in Augsburg. Not only does Anried have the only patronage of St. Felizitas and her seven sons in the entire diocese of Augsburg. The diocese of Augsburg has 1100 parishes and branches. Anried is also the only parish in the diocese that has its own carved Gothic figure .
Since 1875 the figure has been in the original version in the Maximilian Museum in Augsburg for reasons of preservation and was transferred to the Diocesan Museum in 1997. The group of figures of Saint Felizitas and her seven sons is a valuable and art-historically significant link in the Diocesan Museum between the late Gothic and Renaissance.
Old school
The old school is used by the local associations for meetings and other events. The Association for the Maintenance of the Old School Restaurant, founded on October 2, 1987, is responsible for the maintenance .
