English Rugby Union Championship 1988/89
The 1988/1989 season of the English Premiership was the second season of the major league of the English Rugby Union Championship. For sponsorship reasons it was named Courage League . It comprised eleven game days, with each team playing once against the other. Bath rugby won the league title for the first time . At the end of the season, Waterloo RFC and Liverpool St Helens FC were relegated.
