English Rugby Union Championship 1989/90

The 1989/1990 season of the English Premiership was the third major league season of the English Rugby Union Championship. For sponsorship reasons it was named Courage League . It comprised eleven game days, with each team playing once against the other. The London Wasps won the championship title for the first time . At the end of the season, the Bedford Blues had to relegate.

    The season of the second division ( National Division One ) consisted of eleven game days, with each team playing once against the other. The top two teams, Northampton Saints and Liverpool St Helens FC , advanced to the Premiership. There were no relegations this year.
