The 2014/15 season of the English Premiership is the 28th season of the top division of the English Rugby Union Championship. For sponsorship reasons it bears the name Aviva Premiership . It begins on September 5, 2014, comprises 22 match days (one preliminary and second round) and lasts until May 17, 2015. The four best-placed teams then qualify for the semi-finals, the semi-final winners meet on May 30, 2015 in the final in Twickenham Stadium on top of each other. The defending champions were the Northampton Saints , the new champions were the Saracens .

    The season of the second division, the RFU Championship , comprises 22 game days (one first and one second round). While the worst-ranked team is relegated directly to the third division, the four best-placed teams carry out a playoff with a two-part semi-final and a final. The final winner is promoted to the Premiership.
