English rugby union championship 2012/13

The 2012/13 season of the English Premiership was the 26th season of the major division of the English Rugby Union Championship. For sponsorship reasons it was called Aviva Premiership . It began on September 1, 2012, comprised 22 game days (one preliminary and one second round) and lasted until May 4, 2013. The four best-placed teams then qualified for the semi-finals, the semi-final winners met on May 25, 2013 in the final in Twickenham Stadium on top of each other. The championship title was won for the tenth time by the Leicester Tigers , while London Welsh had to be relegated.

    RFU Championship

    The season of the second division, the RFU Championship , comprised 22 game days (one first and one second round). While the worst-ranked team was relegated directly to the third division, the four best-placed teams played a playoff with two-part semifinals and a final. The final winner is promoted to the Premiership.
