Kidnapped is an American adventure film based on a novel by Robert Louis Stevenson . The film is also marketed as Der kleine Lord 2 in German distributors .

The orphaned David Balfour has to see his uncle Ebenezer Balfour. To secure the boy's inheritance, he sells David to pirates who are supposed to bring him to the American colonies as a slave. On the ship, however, he meets the Jacobite Alan Breck, who gives his fate a different turn.
Trivia
In 1936 the child star Freddie Bartholomew had a worldwide hit with The Little Lord . For this reason, the German distributor decided to market the film as the second part of the first success.
