Erich Rödig

Erich Rödig (* 2. June 1946 in Bayreuth ) is a German physician and medical officer ( general practitioner ret. Of the Air Force ).

Life

Rödig completed basic military service as a reserve officer candidate and then studied human medicine at the Free University of Berlin and graduated from the Rechts der Isar Clinic in Munich . After his time as a medical assistant at what was then the Bundeswehr Hospital in Munich , he wrote his dissertation in 1976 on the subject of "The dependence of the heart and respiratory rate on various behavioral states of mature newborns" at the Technical University of Munich .

As a medical officer in the Air Force , he completed his training as an aviator and specialist in internal medicine. From 1986 to 1990 he was head of the internal medicine department of the Aviation Medical Institute of the Air Force (FlMedInstLw) and then until 2000 he was department head of department II in the department of general physician of the air force. From 1991 to 1997 he was also a member of the Aerospace Medicine Panel of the Advisory Group of Aerospace Research and Development (AGARD) of NATO and was one of the Research and Technology Organization (RTO) after the AGARD and the Defense Research Group were merged in 1998 the first members of the Human Factors and Medical Panel . From 2001 to 2002 he headed the FlMedInstLw in Fürstenfeldbruck and was most recently from April 1, 2002 to June 30, 2008 General Doctor of the Air Force in Siegburg with the rank of General Doctor .
