Gebhard Greiling

Gebhard Greiling (born February 26, 1910 in Berlin ; † December 16, 2008 in Munich ) was a German medical officer.

Life

Greiling studied medicine at the Julius Maximilians University and in 1930 became a member of the Corps Rhenania Würzburg . He joined the Air Force of the Wehrmacht and on July 1, 1939 was medical officer in Luftgau medical department 17, then in Luftgau medical department 11. On April 1, 1943, he was chief medical officer in the medical department of the 15th air force field division and at the end of the war corps physician of the 1st Air Corps.

In the Bundeswehr , he was last from October 1, 1967 until his retirement on September 30, 1968 in the rank of General Doctor Head of the Air Force Medical Service Inspection in the General Air Force Office , from which the present Office General Doctor of the Air Force emerged . Greiling was buried on December 19, 2008 in Munich's Westfriedhof .
