Ernst Konzett (born January 4, 1955 in Bludenz ) is a former officer in the Austrian Armed Forces with the rank of brigadier . From 2010 to 2020 he was military commander of Vorarlberg .

Life

Ernst Konzett was born in 1955 in Bludenz in Vorarlberg as the son of master locksmith Ernst Konzett (1914–2009) and Irmgard Konzett and joined the armed forces as a one-year volunteer , where he trained as a hunting commando . Following his officer training at the Theresian Military Academy , he retired in 1978 as a lieutenant in the 23rd Jäger Battalion in Bregenz .

In 1979 he was transferred to the Jagdkommando, as platoon commander and training officer. In 1981 he completed a course in the US Army Special Forces. In 1982 he took over a hunter company in Vorarlberg, and after an assignment abroad as a company commander, various staff assignments followed.
