history
Settlement began in Ersehof for the first time in the 1830s. Due to the location on the former trade route between Braunschweig and Celle, inns were opened. A little later a large canning factory followed, which provided work in the district.
The municipality of Neubrück was separated from the former district of Braunschweig on March 1, 1974 as part of the Lower Saxony regional reform and incorporated into the municipality of Wendeburg in the district of Peine . Local mayor is Bernd Lippe ( SPD ).
