Erwin Kintop (born September 28, 1995 , Pforzheim ) is a German singer and participant in a music show. In 2013 he reached 5th place in Deutschland sucht den Superstar and in 2019 2nd place in the music show The Voice of Germany .
life and career
Erwin Kintop was born in 1995 as the third son of two opera singers in Pforzheim and grew up in Rastatt . His parents encouraged his musical talent at an early age. In 2011 he attended secondary school and joined the school band, where he was active as a singer and guitarist until he graduated from school with secondary school leaving certificate. This was followed by the first stage experiences at weddings, city festivals and in discos.
In 2013, his father registered him with Deutschland sucht den Superstar when he was 17 years old. He reached 5th place in the live shows. From the summer of 2013 he took singing lessons from the American singing and performance teacher Lis Lewis , who lives in Los Angeles . In October 2013 he released his first single called "You're my number one". Erwin Kintop made some appearances between 2013 and 2014, which took him to Austria, Germany and France, among others.
A year later, Kintop released the single "Tell me why". Together with Ricky King , Pete Tex, Jürgen Hörig and other international artists, he stood on May 8, 2016 on the occasion of a benefit concert for “Young refugees Rastatt e. V. “on stage. In addition to these activities, he completed training as a warehouse logistics specialist.
In 2019 Kintop took part in the music show The Voice of Germany and reached 2nd place. His coach was Rea Garvey , who accompanied him throughout the show. Together with producer Abaz, they produced the single "How bout you", which made it into the charts in Switzerland. On November 15, 2019, the song “How bout you” reached 7th place on the iTunes charts.
