The Archdiocese of Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi-Conza-Nusco-Bisaccia ( Latin : Archidioecesis Sancti Angeli de Lombardis-Compsana-Nuscana-Bisaciensis , Italian : Arcidiocesi di Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi-Conza-Nusco-Bisaccia ) is one in Italy located Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church based in Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi .

history

It was founded as the diocese of Conza in the 8th century. In the 11th century this was raised to an archbishopric and merged with it on June 27, 1818 the diocese of Campagna . But on September 30, 1921, Campagna was separated from Conza as an independent archbishopric, to which the diocese of Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi-Bisaccia was also incorporated. Thus the diocese reaches a size of 1,115 km².

On September 30, 1986, the diocese of Nusco was incorporated into him. In 2002 it lost its status as a Metropolitan Archdiocese.
