The diocese of Alife-Caiazzo ( lat. : Dioecesis Aliphana-Caiacensis o Caiatina , ital. : Diocese of Alife-Caiazzo ) is in Italy situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Alife .

history

In the 5th century the diocese of Alife was established. Since 1978 the diocese of Alife and the diocese of Caiazzo have been administered in personal union. On September 30, 1986, the diocese of Caiazzo was annexed to the diocese of Alife by the Congregation for the Bishops with the decree Instantibus votis .

The diocese of Alife-Caiazzo is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Naples as a suffragan .
