history

The diocese of Nocera Inferiore-Sarno was established in the 3rd century as the diocese of Nocera Inferiore . On 30 September 1986 the diocese of Nocera Inferiore was by the Congregation for Bishops with the decree Instantibus votis the diocese Sarno affiliated.

The diocese of Nocera Inferiore-Sarno is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Salerno-Campagna-Acerno as a suffragan diocese.
